Jun Kwang-woo

Jun Kwang-woo is an economist serving as the Chairman of the Institute for Global Economics. After earning a doctorate in economics at Seoul National University and attending graduate school at Indiana University, he completed the Executive Program at Harvard Business School and the AMP from the Wharton School, the University of Pennsylvania.

 

He served as the first Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, a professor at Michigan State University, a Senior Researcher at the World Bank, the President at the Korea Center for International Finance, Vice Chairman of Woori Financial Holdings, Deloitte Korea, Chairman of the board of POSCO and ambassador of global finance of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He later served as Chairman of the National Pension Service and served as a Distinguished Professor at Yonsei University's Graduate School of Economics.
