Barry Eichengreen is a renowned professor of economics and political science at the University of California, Berkeley known for his studies on international finance and monetary policy. He is a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and a convener of the Bellagio Group of Academics and Economic Officials. He also served as an advisor of the Bank of Korea.
While working as a Senior Policy Advisor at the International Monetary Fund(IMF), he studied on the currency crisis of Korea. He also co-authored the book ‘The Korean Economy-From a Miraculous Past to a Sustainable Future’.
